Qantas Club customers stood up due to LAX lounge popular

first_imgQantas Club members are being turned away from the airline’s new shared LAX business lounge during busy periods due to overcrowding.Despite the LAX lounge being promoted as an incentive for joining the Qantas Club, the airline cannot guarantee that customers will be able to sit in the lounge, The Financial Review reported.Club customers will instead receive a USD $50 voucher to use at any of the Los Angeles Airport food and beverage stores.The airline is currently planning to open a new First Class Lounge at LAX and a new extension to the LAX business lounge to cater for growing capacity.Qantas will also no longer allow its Club members to use Qantas business class lounges overseas when they are travelling economy on Emirates Airlines flights from 1 October.In other news, Qantas has installed TV screens showing flight information and news bites in its domestic lounges, after it collaborated with Australian advertising company oOh!
