Law and Order Ministry proposes sending DIG on compulsory leave

The Law and Order Ministry has recommended to the Police Commission that the Police Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) Director, DIG Nalaka de Silva, be sent on compulsory leave till the investigations on him are completed.DIG Nalaka de Silva is being investigated over allegations he attempted to tarnish the image of some senior Police officers and also conspired to harm the President and former Defence Secretary. DIG Nalaka de Silva was this week transferred to the IT division of the Police pending the conclusion of the investigations. (Colombo Gazette)
