first_imgUniversity of Arkansas at Monticello  School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences Assistant/Associate Professorof MathematicsThe University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM)(www.uamont.edu) is seeking applicants for a positionas full-time, nine-month, tenuretrack, Assistant/Associate Professor of Mathematics tobegin August 2021.UAM, one of thirteen campuses of the University of ArkansasSystem, is located in southeastern Arkansas in the beautifultimberlands, rich in outdoor recreation activities, andapproximately 100 miles south of Little Rock.  UAM is acomprehensive, residential and commuter, undergraduate institutionalso offering selected masters degreeprograms.   Mathematics is part of the School of Mathematical andNatural Sciences which offers baccalaureate degrees in Chemistry,Biology, Mathematics, and Natural Science, with two options ineach major.  Mathematics has the option of a traditionalMathematics degree, and a Data Science option Mathematics degreethat has a larger computation and programming component. TheMathematics program has an exceptional record ofsuccessfully preparing students for graduate programs inmathematics and education. Several of our majors teach in publicschools while earning their Master of Arts in Teaching degree(MAT). A qualified applicant mayoccasionally teach graduate courses in mathematics.
